Vtg 1942 WWII Imperial Japanese Model 96 Ku Mark 3 Navy Aircraft Radio Receiver
dated 1942 WWII Imperial Japanese Model 96 Ku (Sky) Mark 3 Navy Aircraft Radio Receiver only. This would have come out of a Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" Type 97-3 Carrier Attack Aircraft being dated April 1942 on the badge. These radios were also used later in the Ayakumo Aircraft that came out in 1943. It was made by the NIHON MUSEN Co. (Japan Wireless Co.), now known as JRC. It measures 13"x 10"X 8" Unfortunately. This was most likely pulled from a crash by a US soldier during WWII. This is a very difficult radio to find any information and data on. Any additional information would be appreciated.
This awesome piece images of Japanese Imperial Naval history.
